With regards to the 2 concerts I mentioned previously at Ascot and Beaulieu, the dates have now been confirmed as Ascot to be 24th July with Beaulieu being 31st.
These were confirmed today by Richard Atkinson
of the Muscular Dystrophy .org

I haven`t been on here for a few days to read I have been in hospital and unwell since December so really I can`t be at all bothered, but by the tone of the last post let me make myself clear, I have never hidden behind made up names unlike most of you, if I have anything to say I will say it and put my name to it. The last time I posted here was on the Hartlepool thread under my own name .. What I will say is there are people who have posted and have been shouted down,,told to go away etc because they posted their thoughts.Please remember they are perfectly entitled to as are the rest of you be it for or against ,that is not Russell bashing they are just saying what they think.They are not asking for anyone to come back and have a go at their post.I`m not wanting or needing anyone to answer my post as it really not required.
Regarding the next Cd I am so hoping it knocks my socks off and also when he promotes it on tour probably in 2011 we hear mostly new songs with a few older ones thrown in and not the reverse as usually happens.Its always such a shame that you hear these tracks on the Cd and never get to hear them live I would say nigh on half of the stuff we have on CD has never ever been sang live for, me hope this time there is a new fresh approach I`m sure the large majority of Russells fans who never post anywhere would welcome a `new `Russell with his `new record label

Just noticed the message regarding two further dates for the "That Glorious Noise" concerts and am a bit puzzled.

They are not, as yet, on the MD website page which confirms the information I was given that a further date wouldn't be disclosed until towards the end of next week.

Hello Russell, I was so happy to see you on AT's show on Monday. I have not had the net for some months and heard rumours you had been ill again and I have been so worried. but you looked great and full of mischeif as usual.

Have booked for Dublin Hartlepool and Isle of Man up to now and the IOM I will be bringing my daughter who has been so critical of my facination and the money I spend,Anecdote in so looks like she is mellowing!

Have booked tickets for Harewood House and am bringing my year old grand daughter to see you properly for the first time. My daughter came to Dublin and the RAH last year when she was carrying her and she kicked well all the way through both concerts!!

Rumour has it that you may come to Peterborough at some point, hope it happens!!

Hi Russell

Great to see you on TV. Please, please, please can you come to Bath or somewhere close, not all of use have the ability to travel such distances. The Royal Crescent in Bath makes a fabulous backdrop for concerts as when we had the Three Tenors there a few years ago and we have the famous Bath Male Choir from Last Choir Standing here ready and waiting.

It's the first time that I've ever posted anything on your site...I do have a question
Is there any possiblity of you coming to Cape Town (South Africa) to preform?? I love your music and have been an avid fan for what seems like ages. I have loved your concerts...I could be honest to say I have even planed my trips to the UK around them!
But in all honesty I would love to able to attend one of them in my own home town I can just imagine it happening at Kirstenbosch Gardens in the summer surrounded by Table Mountain - So if you ever think to get away from the UK winter Blues there's an idea for you...and I promise you, you will love Cape Town...food for thought prehaps?? As the run was last May and it was not till October that a name was announced and not without lots of prompting by some members to the people who were running the site on the forum and the charity.Is it any wonder that people want to know why it hadn`t taken place and why the huge delay in just drawing out a name it wasn`t only forum members who sponsored Russell?I sponsored him too and wondered what was going on?? 5 months is a long time to wait for a winner.Lets hope it comes to a happy conclusion for the prizewinner.

Hi everyone,
My name is PatM and I am the fan who won the lunch with Russell in last years' competition. I have just seen the posts regarding this and would like to reassure everyone that Russell HAS NOT let me down and that the lunch WILL BE taking place soon. A large portion of the delay has been due to the fact that I had to go into hospital in December for major surgery (for the second time in 2009) and with a long recovery time throughout December and January (not to mention the awful weather!) I was not well enough to be able to make any firm commitments. I am presently attending hospital as an in-patient for 3 days every other week and various other appointments which has also limited my time throughout January and February and this will continue until after Easter. After that, it WILL BE lunch with Russell and, hopefully, a return to work after more than a year off! I hope this now clarifies the situation for all interested parties.
